【摘要】:ISO8462specifiesthecharacteristicsofatapecartridgeloadedwithmagnetictape6,30mm(0.25in)wideintendedfordigitalrecordingatphysicalrecordingdensitiesof252ftpmm(6400ftpi)and394ftpmm(10000ftpi).ISO8462/2specifiesarecordingmethodandadataformatin-tendedforuseinthestreamingmodeofoperation.Twoalter-nativetrackformatsarespecified:—a4-trackformat,and—a9-trackformat.ThispartofISO8462specifiesthemechanical,physicalandmagneticpropertiesofa6,30mm(0.25in)widemagnetictapecartridgeandmethodsfortestingthesurfacequalityofthetape.Italsospecifiestheenvironmentalconditionsunderwhichthecartridgeshallbetestedandoperated,andrecommendscondi-tionsforstorage.ISO8462/1andISO8462/2provideforthephysicalinter-changeofcartridgesbetweendataprocessingsystems,ancspecifyadataformat.Alabellingstandardfortapecartridgesusedinthestreamingmodeisunderstudy.Theavailabilityofsuchalabellingstandardwillprovideforfulldatainterchangebetweendataprocessingsystems.NOTE—NumericvaluesintheSIand/orImperialmeasurementsysteminthispartofISO8462mayhavebeenroundedoffandthereforeareconsistentwith,butnotexactlyequalto,eachother.Eithersystemmaybeused,butthetwoshouldbeneitherintermixednorreconverted.Theoriginaldesignwasmadeusingtheimperialmeasurementsystem.
